What is My Aged Care?
My Aged Care provides information about and access to Australian Government funded aged care services.
Aged Care in Australia is the provision of services to meet unique needs of older people. It includes both residential aged care as well as services provided in home.
Australian Government provides Home Care Package, a type of funding to assist older people to stay independent in their own home as long as possible.
There are four levels of care packages to support people:
BASIC | LOW | INTERMEDIATE | HIGH LEVEL
Services Under the Home Care Package
Deivian Care Services, under Home Care Package provision, a mix of services which includes, but not limited to:
- Personal care including assistance in daily living activities.
- Personal assistance with bathing or showering, grooming, and dressing.
- Personal hygiene, toileting, and continence management.
- Domestic assistance like light cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, meal prep, etc.
- Social support and companionship.
- Mobility and dexterity support.
- Transport assistance to appointments, shopping, social, outing, etc.
- Social activities and attending local community groups.
- Garden and Home maintenance.
- Home modification – installation of safety aids.
- Short term care – restorative, transition, and respite care.
