Description of the Service
Caring for someone with complex needs takes more than just time it takes specialised skill, insight, and collaboration.
Our Complex & High Intensity Care service under the NDIS is designed for participants with multiple diagnoses, high-risk behaviours, or significant physical and mental health support needs. We focus on consistency, understanding, and well-trained support to ensure safe, person-centred care every time.
We see it as a team effort: the participant, their family, support workers, Behaviour Support Practitioners, and us all working together for better outcomes.

Types of Support Provided
Our service covers a wide range of high intensity needs, including:
- Personal care and complex mobility support
- Medication management and assistance with restrictive practices (as per plan)
- Behaviour support implementation
- Emotional regulation and de-escalation strategies
- Intensive support for communication and language disorders
- Monitoring and recording of behavioural incidents
- Implementation of strategies outlined in Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
- Ongoing coordination with Behaviour Support Practitioners and clinical teams
- Training support workers on documentation (e.g. ABC charts, daily logs)
We build stability, structure, and trust ensuring every team member knows the “why” behind every support action.

Going the Extra Mile – The Deivian Way
We’ve supported clients with up to 10 co-occurring diagnoses, including:
- Intellectual Disability (ID)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD Level 3)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Severe Tourette Syndrome
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Bipolar Disorder
- Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
- Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
- Unspecified Dissociative Disorder
- Language Disorder
- Severe Physical Disabilities
- Aggressive verbal and physical behaviours
No support worker is assigned to these clients without first receiving thorough training on their Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) and known triggers. We take emotional regulation seriously, and we equip our team to respond with skill not guesswork.
We work closely with Behaviour Support Practitioners, internal trainers, and families. We use ABC charts and other tracking tools, and ensure workers know how to complete them properly and meaningfully.
Our approach is not reactive it’s prepared, informed, and intentional.

Our Attitude
- We believe in teamwork and transparency
- We respect complexity and never take a “one-size-fits-all” approach
- We support workers with training that’s relevant, real, and responsive
- We prioritise consistency and safety
- We listen to professionals, families, and clients
- We build capacity, confidence, and connection, one shift at a time
The right team, the right training, and the right mindset, that’s how we do complex care.
